Founder & CEO
Benjamin Garcia is Founder and CEO of Gravis Robotics Capital, where he leads the firm's investment strategy and manages key LP relationships. He founded the firm with a belief that seed-stage robotics companies need investors who understand both the technical depth and the long commercialization timelines inherent to the space. Prior to founding Gravis, Benjamin spent over a decade at the intersection of deep tech investing and engineering operations. He brings deep expertise in robotics systems architecture, hardware-software integration, and venture portfolio construction.
Partner
Caleb Winters leads robotics hardware and industrial automation investments at Gravis. He previously spent eight years as an engineer and executive at leading robotics companies, giving him a practitioner's understanding of the challenges portfolio companies face. Caleb focuses on evaluating hardware-first robotics teams, physical AI applications, and automation infrastructure plays. He brings a rigorous technical lens to every investment thesis and serves as an active board member and strategic advisor to the companies he backs.
Senior Associate
Isaac Fletcher focuses on AI robotics, software-defined automation, and emerging applications of machine learning in physical systems. He holds advanced degrees in computer science and robotics and brings meticulous technical diligence to the evaluation process. Isaac leads sourcing efforts for the firm's most technical bets, maintains the firm's research agenda on emerging robotics paradigms, and supports portfolio companies on technical hiring and architecture decisions.
We built Gravis to be the firm we wished had existed when we were operators. That means being genuinely useful, not just present.
Every member of our investment team has built or operated technical products. We speak the language of engineering and understand what it actually takes to ship hardware and software at scale.
We maintain active relationships with leading robotics research labs at MIT, Carnegie Mellon, Stanford, and other world-class institutions, connecting founders with cutting-edge research and talent.
From go-to-market strategy to technical architecture to fundraising narratives, we work hands-on with our portfolio companies to help them build durable competitive advantages.
We are always looking to connect with exceptional founders building the future of robotics and automation. Reach out to start a conversation.
